Catering Lecturer

Telford, Shropshire

14.5 hours per week - temporary position available for September

?25-?28 per hour

Protocol are working with a client based in Telford who are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Catering Lecturer to join our Further Education team. You will deliver high-quality teaching and training to students across a range of catering and hospitality programmes, helping them develop the practical skills and industry knowledge required for employment in this dynamic sector.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional who is committed to inspiring the next generation of chefs and hospitality specialists.

  • Plan and deliver engaging, practical and theory-based lessons in catering and hospitality.
  • Teach across a variety of FE programmes (e.g., Level 1–3, apprenticeships).
  • Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support progress.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and food hygiene in practical environments.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement.
  • Support student retention, achievement, and progression into employment.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with awarding body and college requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and industry partners.

Requirements:

  • Hold a relevant qualification in Catering, Hospitality, or Professional Cookery.
  • Has substantial industry and teaching experience within the catering and hospitality sector.
  • Hold a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Is passionate about teaching and supporting students.
  • Hold a DBS on the update service (or be willin to apply for a new one ahead of September).
